Community Safety Programs
Facial Scanners
We use facial scanners in any number of settings as an educational tool to help people understand the damaging effects of the sun. Through the use of ultra-violet rays, these scanners allow you to see the layer of skin not visible to the naked eye. Used for middle school children through adults, this tool helps identify the areas of your face most impacted by the sun.

Sun-Safe-in-the-Snow
Sun protection is not only needed in the summer, it's needed year long. Those damaging UV rays are intensified with the reflection of the snow. The Foundation provides sun-safe-in-the snow tips, sunscreen and use of our facial scanners at ski areas across New England. If you would like us to visit your favorite ski area, please contact Trish Signet at tsignet@mfne.org, or 800.557. 6352 for more information.
